Mission & Vision

Mission

The Faculty of Political Sciences has a mission to educate students who, from a perspective of universal values, utilize their professional knowledge and skills to promote the development of their country while drawing from the wealth of science, knowledge, culture, and art. Our faculty aims to cultivate students who are critical thinkers, inquisitive, socially aware, respectful of traditions and customs, and possess strong communication skills. Our faculty is committed to activities involving research, production, and conscious consumption and strives to develop well-informed individuals about the evolving economic, social, political, and global events in Turkey and the world. It carries out its activities with a sense of responsibility toward producing intellectually capable individuals who can manage various sectors, firms, and institutions while analyzing local and global changes effectively.

Vision

The Faculty of Political Sciences vision is to become a distinguished institution that responds to the needs of public, private sector, and civil society organizations in the global competitive environment. It aims to produce individuals with the qualities required for entrepreneurship and strategic decision-making, prioritize productivity in industrial and service sectors, contribute to regional and national development through research and projects, and collaborate with national and international firms and organizations as qualified members of the academic world.

Our faculty and all its academic and administrative staff consider it a responsibility to keep up with advancing technology and nurture young individuals who can adapt to new developments. Furthermore, we perceive it as our primary responsibility to ensure that our students graduate from our faculty as individuals who will benefit society in every aspect.

Our faculty currently consists of four departments. It is governed under the authority and responsibilities defined by Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, under the leadership of the Dean. The top administration, including the Faculty Council and the Faculty Executive Board, has the authority and responsibilities as stipulated in the relevant articles of the Regulations on Academic Organization in Universities.

The Faculty Council and the Faculty Executive Board, under the leadership of the Dean, convene to make decisions on matters related to education and inform the University Rectorate accordingly.
